QuantumCLS is at the forefront of airport security technology assisting London City Airport with the delivery of advanced high-resolution 3D scanning technology, which takes images of hand luggage avoiding the need to remove items tablets, laptops and liquids from hand luggage for security checks.

The Government set a deadline for June 2024 for most UK airports to comply, and London City Airport has now modernised their security screening area as well as installing this new technology, removing the 100ml liquid limit with passengers able to carry on up to two litres of liquid which no longer have to be put in separate bags. It is the second UK airport to use this technology in all its security lanes, after Teesside introduced it in March 2023.
